This past year we participated in the 100 Day Project. The project is a free global art project that anyone can participate in. You choose an action and post your art to Instagram everyday for 100 days.
It was really fun to watch all of the amazing work people were creating. We chose to create scanner art for our project. 100 days of art making is a lot, and we started looking at everything we came across as potential for our project. Everything from dandelions in the front yards of the neighborhood to office supplies and paper scraps. Here are a few of our favorites!
BRIGHT SPOT #2
When a favorite client asked if we could do her a favor in trade for a long weekend at her beachside condo—in December—the answer was a no-brainer. Hello, Captiva!
This slim spit of paradise, just north of Florida’s Sanibel Island is home to dense mangrove forests and lush beaches, and boasts the nation’s best shelling (so they say), plus the only Jerry’s grocery store outside of Minnesota (weird).
And the colors!
Here are a few of our favorite finds and the palettes they inspired. We hope they’re a momentary bright spot in yet another gray day.
